A sports marketing company, Team Marketing Report, has done an annual
survey of baseball ticket prices since 1991. TMR?s website has the
data on a different HTML page for each year and you can hop through
them by using the arrows around the year.
Here?s their first Fan Cost Index study, which has not just the
average ticket price, but the prices for parking, souvenirs and food:

In 1991 the most-expensive ticket was Toronto at $13.13 -- and
Cleveland and Atlanta were the least-expensive at $7.16.
This year it?s Boston at $44.56 ? almost 40% more than the nearest
team, the Chicago Cubs. Last is Kansas City at $13.71.
