you do it under medical supervision:

"Stopping the drug abruptly may produce withdrawal symptoms (sleep
disruption, nervousness, irritability, diarrhea, abdominal cramps,
muscle aches, memory impairment). Dose should be reduced gradually
according to your doctor's instructions."

Other reserach indicates that the drug is addictive, and rapid
withdrawl may cause siezures or other side effects.

However, the amount to taper down by, and the time to do this over,
