Question ID: 51774
List/contact information/database of Japanese and German
companies/investors that have invested into IT-related (.com
businesses) private american companies in the last decade in the United
States.
NOTE: A list/database of Venture Capital companies that have invested
is not a satisfying answer for us. We also have to know other
industrial enterprises/investors that have invested.

Dear Milka,

From my perspcet IT does not necessarly equal ".com" Will you be more
specific with respect to the IT sectors your are intersted in? For
example, investors usually specialize in hardware and software. Then
there is the internet, enterprise, individual users. If you are
interested in all sectors, then let me know this.

We need information on all IT related sectors (.com businesses are
just a major part since the boom in the end of the 1990s).

Dear Milka,

For now, I was only able to find independent public and private
venture capital and private equity entities whose main offices are in
Japan (4) and Germany(~20), and those others who have branch offices
in Japan (16) and Germany (40), who have invested in the last 10
years. The majority of these are also focusing on IT. These do not
include those groups such as Hitachi or NEC who may have VC arms, but
that are not independent.

From my general knowledge, I know that just about all major
conglomerates of Japanese or German descent have invested in IT
ventures in the US. This is the sort of list that I can also provide
for you. However, as of now I haven't found direct literature. I
will continue to look out of it, and post if I find it.

If the information I've collected so far will suffice, let me know.
Otherwise, let me know how to satisfy your request.

As mentioned before, only Venture Capitals in Germany and Japan are
unfortunately not enough since we are able to find those ourselves
through various directories. Our interest is a specific list with
names and contact infos or a data base (industrial enterprises and
individuals and groups) who have invested into IT in the last 10
years. I know that this is probably very hard to find. Does this
help?

Japan I might be able to do, but Germany definitly not... Please let
me know if half of your answer would be acceptable (just Japan), or if
you are only interested in both countries. Also, are you interested
in a complete list (which may run into tens of thousands of names, all
told) or only major investment?

Dear gnovos-ga,

We will offer you $100.00 for half of the answer since the $200.00 was
for both countries.

I already edited the price in the question parameters.
We would need a complete list (private investors, industrial
companies, venture capitals, anything!) But please not only Venture
Capitals (as mentioned in other clarifications).

Please provide us with a complete list for Japan as you said. I hope
you are aware of the fact that we are looking for a list of names that
have invested into American privat companies.......see questions.
