How important is North America versus Europe and North America, given how much the markets have in common? The reason I ask is that, for example, one of the larger trade publishing groups -- Cahners -- is now owned by Reed Elsevier, a European concern. So while the titles may be available in or even directed at the US and Canada, they will also be available in Europe, where their headquarters resides. Here is a link to Reed Elsevier's 135 titles: http://www.reedbusiness.com/index.asp?layout=productsMain Penton Media is another large trade publisher: here are the books they produce. http://www.penton.com/cgi-bin/search/publications.pl As for market size and dollar amounts, all these magazines get their numbers audited by ABC (www.accessabc.com) or BPA (www.bpai.com). Hope this helps. |
