Maintainance mode should also do - probably reached using a key on the computer. http://www.unixguide.net/unixguide.shtml Otherwise what AIX version ? Can you log on as some non-root user ? |

Hi bozo99, Thank you for the comment, I don't know the version and I can't seem to find it. According to the web site, I need the media and I don't have that either. Any ideas? -Mao |

What is the output from the commands "uname -a" and "oslevel" ? |

Why not say more about how you obtained the error message ? If you can't even tell the AIX version I think you need to talk to your technical support bods. |
