I need to know how much it usually costs to build a multi-level
parking garage, specifically in large cities like LA, NY or Chicago.
The ideal information would be a cost breakdown of land, materials,
and construction for one of these lots that is close to the average
cost, if an average cost can be determined. While determining an
average cost would be helpful, the cost breakdwon of any given lot
would be more useful information. Thank You.

Thanks but I actually found that building-journal article as well. The
search for a more definite answer will continue, right?

The search will continue if an official researcher thinks $10 is worth
the time involved in finding an answer (I'm not an official researcher
and can't give an official answer or claim the $10 in any case).
From my quick lookings for your info, I think that finding the
breakdown of costs will require a researcher to actually contact
several construction companies and ask for that info which is worth
quite a bit more than $10. Perhaps they can find an article that
neither of us could find, but I have my doubts that this info exists.
