Mesh networks. I need a really good technical explanation of mesh
networks, specifically what protocols are used for linking and how
does routing work? How are the devices aware of themselves, is it auto
discovery and if so how does it work (maybe talk a little about
security). How many and how far can the devices be from each other
(like in mobile police cars)? Discuss power to bandwidth ratios for
these network devices to operate. I would need some references either
from ieee.org or some other web site, especially if standards are used
or referenced.

One more comment. I would like this answer to be as technical as possible.
