How many people died in automobile accidents each year in the past five years?

includes trucks motorcyles .... ?
Or are you only interested in cars?

Thank you for your question.

According to the National Center for Statistics & Analysis, the
following are the total number of people killed in motor vehicle
accidents by year:

1997 - 42,013
1998 - 41,501 
1999 - 41,717
2000 - 41,945 
2001 - 42,116
