An instructional Rubric consists of 12 indicators:(sections) Standards
and Objectives, Motivating students, Presenting Instructional Content,
Lesson Structure and pacing, Learning Activities and Materials,
Questioning, Academic Feedback , Grouping students, Teacher Content
Knowledge, Teacher knowledge of Students, Thinking, Problem solving.
(Not sure if all of these indicators apply to the Elementary Classroom
Music)
I have a copy of a Rubric Maker program that features the designing of
a Grid, List, Open Column and Mixed Criteria. Each scores a 1 thru 5
with 5 being the best or indicating a good evaluation of the student's
performance. However, all of the demo Templetes are for Math, English
or Social Studies but none for the music classroom. What I seek are
examples of someone having used the Rubric approach in teaching the
elements of music--for example: singing activities, piano
playing/teaching,Utilizing Handbells or Chimes, elements that make up
music composition etc. etc--- Let me know if this clarification helps
