I need a list of the top 100 public & private companies in terms of
both employees and turnover in dollars within a 100km radius (when
driving by car) of Katoomba, NSW Australia. The head or major (200+
people) offices of these companies needs to be with in this radius. To
help with the distance, it can be calculated using www.whereis.com.au
from katoomba to the appropriate town.

I have located a company that may be able to provide this list for
you, for a fee (separate from the Google Answers fee).

The company has information on several thousand of the top companies
in Australia, and can generate lists based on company size (by
revenue), company size (by employees), and geography.

Their presorted lists generally sell for a few hundred dollars
(Australian), but I'm not sure what they would charge for a
custom-tailored list.

I'd be glad to provide the information to you as a provisional answer
to your question...if the company can then provide you a final list, I
would consider the question fully answered.  If they can't, then I can
withdraw the answer, and your question would be re-opened for other
researchers.

Would that meet your needs?  If not, perhaps you can suggest another
way of proceeding on this.

i want to keep my options on this request open until i can be sure i
am going to get the information i need.

So if you can confirm this company you mentioned can provide what i am
looking for then i would like more information on them. In this case i
would need you to confirm that instead of the radius i asked for, that
they can provide the same list based on the geography for the Blue
Mountains in NSW, Australia.

If they don't have a presorted list to cover this area (or even if
they do)then i would need you to find an approximate cost for this and
if it's available to any member of the public.

So, Yes, please see what you can get from this comany and once i have
reviewed this information i will confirm if the question has been
answered or not.

I heard back (finally!) from the company I contacted, but they tell me
they do not have the capability to create your list.
