Hello Here's the deal. I've been to get an annual MOT for my Ford Probe and she's failed. The guy said that the handbrake value was too low on "one side" - whatever that means?!. This guy said that the handbrake had a value of 18 on one side and only 11 on the other. Does anyone understand this? To boot, the local Ford garage quoted over 5000? to repair the handbrake! Thats $6500.00! Why on Earth would a handbrake repair cost this much? Why would Ford say that since the breaking system is "one piece" they need to rip out all the brakes just to adjust the handbrake value? |
