I am buying a new car with 580 miles already on it, does this qualify
for any discounts?

580 miles is quite a lot for a "NEW" car.  It sounds like it has been
a demonstrater. Ask the salesman how much he would trade in the car
for if you already owned it with 580 miles on the clock.  Not nearly
as much as what he wants you to pay I'll bet.  580 miles should be
enough for you to knock a few grand off the price.  If it is 20K, take
off 2  If it is 30k take off 3, etc...
