Hi,

I am looking for the 10 year history of steel prices in Canada (and in
$CAN). More precisely these 3 categories:

Hot-rolled
Cold-rolled
Hot-Dip Galvenized

A graphic and data would be ideal.

Is the price not high enough for the question, why am I not getting an answer?

Please don't post the google answers pricing guide link.

Hi simonsays26:

I think the reason you may not be getting an answer is that while your
question is brief, there are a lot of dimensions to it. I think that
no-one has been able to find exactly what you want.

I did some searching for you, and came up with some good stuff, but it
isn't right on the mark. The best information I found was a graph that
shows Sheet Steel Prices 1980 - 2004, but is for Hot Rolled, Cold
Rolled, and Colled Rolled Galvanized (not hot-dipped). As well, the
data table came from a an online site that charges for access. AND the
data is for the U.S., not Canada.

Note: The graph in question is on page 11.

Some other data I found is for North American steel, but only the last
three years and there's no graphic. And the steel types are Hot Rolled
Plate, Cold Rolled Coil, and Drawn Bar.

I hope that explains why you're not getting the response you expect.
If you can relax the parameters of what you're looking for, you will
probably have much better luck.

The price of steel being significantly different by product and in
Canada vs US (not only because of the exchange rate) is the reason why
I cant give much slack on this question. Thanks for the response.
