On April 4 I received an e-mail from wnn@eletters.whatsnewnow. titled
"What Is Spyware?, Google Video, Dual-Core Pentium Tests, iPo 
4/5/2005   3:58 pm"

Does anybody know if this is an attempt to virus infect my computer or
something I need to pay attention to?

Looks to be spam mail, as Ziff Davis seems to be in the targeted
marketing business. However, if you would like to know more, please
contact them at the address listed above. I personally would have put
in in the trash folder and not given it a second thought.

Hello,

It means they target a specific group of people, for example, people
who have a certain interest and they focus on advertising to that
group.

Say I filled out a online form for info on Hawaii, and the place where
I filled out my form had an agreement to sell my information to a
marketing group. This group might then email me trying to market other
tropical vacations to me. That's targeted marketing.
