Hi,

I am looking for a history of US NEWS Rankings for TWO Universities.
1. Texas A&M University - College Station
2. University of Texas - Austin.

I am not in need of specific Program rankings, rather ONLY the overall
University rank. For instance, for 2005, A&M ranked 62, UT Austin 46.

I would like to compare the rankings from circa 1990 (or from
inception of rankings) to 2004.

I have been unable to find much of anything pre 2003.
Thanks

Hi dichotomic,

The following is the result of my research for past U.S. News & World
Report rankings for the two universities you have requested:

After searching endlessly for past yearly rankings for the two
universities, I came upon this note:

"Note: During the period 1991-1995, U.S. News published a Top 25
Universities list. After listing the Top 25, schools were listed
alphabetically within tiers as follows: Tier 1 listed 26th to 50th,
Tier 2 listed 51st to 100th; Tier 3 listed 101st to 150th; and Tier 4
listed 151st to 204th. Beginning in 1996, U.S.News published a Top 50
Universities list, eliminating the Tier 1 listing."
