Humphrey Spender was interviewed for the National Life Story Collection which is part of the National Sound Archive at the British Library. His interviews resulted in 26 hours of audio tape. With the exception of a few tapes restricted to the year 2050, all other tapes have full clearance. You can contact: The British Library Sound Archive, 96 Euston Road, London NW1 2DB, United Kingdom. E-mail: sound-archive@bl.uk. I do not know if they will be able to tell you whether he ever spoke of the Entartete Kunst, or where it would be in the tapes, but it is worth a try. Good Luck. http://www.bl.uk/collections/sound-archive/cat.html |

Thanks very much for your help. The British Library were very helpful but unfortunately the exhibition wasn't mentioned. Much appreciated. |
