Does anyone know how long an internet browser spends looking at banner
advertising and is there any research to validate these figures?

There is nobody who knows for sure how much time a internet browser
looks on a banner ad, but i found this information.

A banner is clicked on about 4-6 percent of the time shown on a
website, and up to 17 percent.
