I need statistics on the time consumers spend watching / using
different media (e.g television, web, video games, radio, and how this
is changing with time (historical annual stats are OK - don't need
projections). How much of this time is taken up by attention to a
single media (e.g. watching television or surfing the net) or is spent
"multi tasking" (e.g watching television while surfing the net or
playing a game). Data on different countries (Japan / Europe) as well
as US would be great if possible.
Central to this question is how evolving media and entertainment forms
made possible by the latest developments over the internet, are
replacing traditional media like television or changing the way people
use it.
