Hello Ben,

I thought Yahoo Finance would have this data, but they actually only
go back about a year or so.

However, with a bit of searching, I came across the very aptly named
site, Earnings.com, with records going back to 2000, at least:

http://www.earnings.com/earning.asp?date=20050510&client=cb

In the upper right corner is a text box where you can type in the
company name or symbol of interest to you, and the search results will
return a table that includes earnings dates.

For instance, I searched on YHOO (why not?) and got results with two
tables -- webcast dates on top, followed by a table with earnings
dates that spanned a period from 1999 to present:

http://www.earnings.com/company.asp?client=cb&ticker=yhoo

The information includes the time of earnings release, either with a
'clock' time (e.g. 4:15 pm) or by indicating AMC, for 'after market
close' -- other stocks may also use BMO for 'before market opens'.

I trust this information fully meets your needs. But please don't
rate this answer until you are completely satisfied with the results.
If you have any questions, just post a Request for Clarification to
let me know how I can further assist you.

It depends on the meaning of "database."
To me this is a file that is accessible from a program.
The data is certianly where you told me, but it's only on a screen,
and only for one stock at a time. That's not a "database" from my
viewpoint.

You're quite right...we were definitely using different
interpretations of 'database'.

I'll look into what's available on a download basis or other access like cd-rom.

But I'd like a bit more information from you on two things, so I can
best focus my searching:

1. If the site I had steered you to originally allowed a download of
the data (e.g., search for YHOO, then you can download all the YHOO
results) would that meet your needs? If so, I can see if I can locate
a site with that function.

2. You mentioned you were looking for a "reasonably priced"
option...can you give me some quidelines as to what is reasonable for
your purposes?

Thanks...I see if I can get you what you need.

Hi,
Actually, what I need is one large file with the earnings reports data
for all stock symbols, so I can merge this data with other stock data.
I'd like coverage of at least the largest 1000 stocks.
As for price, I would consider less than $500 reasonable.

I have some queries out regarding this, but it will probably be a few
days before I hear back from everyone, so hang tight...

Ben, I came across this company. http://www.wallstreethorizon.com/

Did you come across anything else?

I am specifically looking for earnings date and time of release info
in a database/spreadsheet form, just as you described.
