I am trying to track down and simple smart note book application for
the mac that I saw online a year or two ago. You could cut and paste
an address into this app and it would recognize the street, state,
zip, phone number and so on. I seem to recall it was written by
someone at MIT, but I may be mistaken.

What version of Mac OS are you using? OS 9, OS X, etc.?

I am not sure which version of Mac. I think that the original version
pre-dated OS X.
