in  Barkley, Ontario, and died 12 Dec 1982.

This is the only Wilfred Shute on FamilySearch, and moreover is listed
for Ontario.  Further searches on Google confirm that his middle
initial was "E."  Thus, I feel confident that this is the correct
person.
