I'm interested in collecting quotations on selling. Not about the
craft of selling, but about selling in an investment context. Here is
an example:

?I made a big mistake in not selling several of our larger holdings
during The Great Bubble. If these stocks are fully priced now, you may
wonder what I was thinking four years ago when their intrinsic value
was lower and their prices far higher. So do I.?

Warren Buffett, 2003 letter to shareholders.

Quotations must contain "sell," "sale," or some variant of the word.
I'm willing to pay $1.50 per quotation. Find me 10, and you'll get the
commission on $20. Find me 20, and you'll get a $15 tip.

All quotations must be attributable to a verifiable source. No
anonymous quotes that some joker made up on his Web site.

I'll pay for up to 50 quotations.

Thanks,

Vercingatorix

Hi! Thanks for the question.

I was able to find the following quotes that are within your requirements.

selling". James Dines (1935-)

stocks not selling advice". Norman R. Augustine (1935-). Courtesy of

Thanks for the quotes. 10 of them are very good, but the Coolidge and
Roddick quotes don't refer to stock sales. They are more general in
scope and are most likely to be interpreted as referring to the sale
of goods and services.

However, for my money, this is a fine answer, well worth the $20 I'm
paying. I'm not rating it yet because I wanted to give you a chance to
provide more quotes if you had them. If I don't hear from you over the
weekend, I'll give you a top rating on Monday.

Hi vercingatorix-ga!

I posted the answer because I cannot find anymore quotes that will be
applicable to your requirements. I apologize.

Maybe you can post another version of this question so that there will
be another opportunity for another researcher to find more quotes.

Thanks!

Excellent quotes, most of which were exactly what I wanted. Quick response, as well.
