Bakelite, the first modern plastic material, was produced in Bound
Brook -- probably in greater quantities than anyplace else -- but it
was not invented in Bound Brook, nor was Bound Brook the first
porduction facility for Bakelite.

Are you asking about production, or about the original invention?

The request is for "what famous product was produced" in Bound Brook
I thought it could be bakelite also.
Do you know of any "products" i.e. hula hoop, rubics cube etc.?

Could the product be Bakelite jewelry, rather than just Bakelite? It
was apparently quite popular around the 1930s.
