Question ID: 520483
I have an application that will be running in full screen on a remote
system. This application must always be running fullscreen and always
visible despite anything going on in the background. This system will
also be connected via VPN. Issue is with the windows VPN client, if
its disconnected, bop, a popup to redial comes up and the app
minimizes. Is there any workaround for this? I want the VPn to
redial but in the background of the primary program. Have already
tried a number
of "Stay on top" utilities, none of which correct this behavior.

Also tried editing the "Focus" settings of the registry to no effect.

jlaurino...

Try this one, and get back to me. It's called Topper!,
and was created by Robert Bruce of ProCreativeSystems.com,
but that site is closed for now.

I did manage to find a place where you can download it,
on SafeSite.com :

I've used it for years, with no problems, but it sounds
like the minimization of the VPN app may be by design.

Let me know...

Thats a definitely useful utility, but it, like the others ive tried
work against just about every service except that VPN popup, which if
that happens during a critical time when the app has to be visible,
would be bad. It may be by design, which is why im thinking any
solution may be more about going around the problem then directly.
