What are the issues involved in pulling xml newsfeeds from yahoo and
placing on ones own site?  What are the ramifications of placing your
own adds within the news feeds?  Is there a reason why yahoo displays
news directly on their site while topix.net sends users to the
original site?

A: Check those sites for details. if they're publishing them, then its fine.
