On a Fedora 2 box I have here /sbin/service is in the initscripts package,
as shown by "rpm -qf /sbin/service".

I have a version of initscripts installed already:

$ rpm -qa | grep initscripts
initscripts-6.7-1.5.3

I get this while querying for /sbin/service

$ rpm -qf /sbin/service
error: file /sbin/service: No such file or directory

"rpm -V initscripts" to check the current installation - show missing files etc.
"rpm -ql initscripts" to list what files rpm thinks are in the package.
