I am wondering if there are any congress people who could maybe do me
a favor by helping me get more information about this legistration.
What kind of information is out there that I could get about the Walt
Whitman Park. Seems as through the NPS dedicated the Walt Whitman
park back in 1966.

The Friday March 25, 2005 Washington Post mentioned a future
dedication of a Walt Whitman Way outside the National Portrait
Gallery.

We already have a Walt Whitman Park at 19th,, 20th and E Streets, NW,
Reservation 715. "By authority of the Secretary of the Interior on a
memorandum addressed to him dated May 23, 1966, from the Director of
the National Park Service, the naming of U.S. Reservation 715 as Walt
Whitman Park was approved June 2, 1966. Walt Whitman was the great
American poet of the nineteenth century." Land Record 530, National
Capital Region, National Park Service. Several years ago a tot lot
was approved to be erected on the park.
