I am looking for a specific Far Side cartoon by Gary Larson that has
several scientists looking at a blackboard and it says "then a miracle
happened" or something very similar.

Here's the cartoon as I remember it:

but I don't think it's a Far Side.

Is this what you were looking for?

This is the cartoon I needed! Sorry, I was told it was a Far Side.
Can you tell me where I can get a decent copy of it?
Thanks

Here's the largest copy of the image that I found on the web:

The source of the cartoon is noted with the picture. For an original
image, you would need to track down a copy of the book itself, I would
think.

Let me know if this meets your needs, or if I can provide any further assistance.

Cheers,

When reading the question, I immediately thought of the same cartoon
as pafalafa. I believe it's the answer.
