I am looking for a device/software application that can simulate the passing of call data - specifically a 911 ANI/ALI stream - over a serial port or TCP/IP. I am hindered by the fact that I only have a basic understanding of telephony. I do not necessarily need a switch or even a device, perhaps just a piece of software that can simulate the passing of a text stream that can subsequently be pulled into another application. I have looked at devices such as Intel's CSTA Switch Simulator and they seem like overkill and costly for what I need. In my mind, there must be software that can do this and preferably the inexpensive type. Thanks. |
