I was emailed what appears to be my grandfather's Will. However, I
can't seem to open the files because I don't recognize the file
extensions, and have no idea what program created them. Here are the
details I have for each file.
Confidentialsingleperson.isd (14.39kb)
Livingwill.isd (75.50kb)
Roy's info.hba (1.60kb

If you could tell me which program to use to access the information, I
would be very appreciative.

on filext.com the following information on .isd files is given, but I
don't understand the program I would use to access them:

dynaSight File
GraphPad InStat
InstallShield Dialog (InstallShield Software Corporation)
RapidFile Dictionary

There is no information for the .hba extension.

I would strongly suggest you check these files with an
antivirus program. The programs associated with the .isd
extension are not likely to be used for the data you
suggest is in them. One is a business development platform,
and the other is a Spell checker dictionary associated with
RapidFile.

I would be careful not to click directly on these files.
You might rename them with a text file extension, e.g.,
Livingwill.txt and open them in Notepad. If the first
two letters you see are MZ, you are playing with an
executable file (.exe), probably waiting to be renamed
to Livingwill.exe by some other hidden, malicious process.

Do you know the individual or company which sent these
files? Have you had phone contact with them, or did they
provide a phone number for assistance? If not, beware.

HI,
You understand that a "living will" is not a last testament telling who gets what.
A living will is a document that defines what medical care a person
wishes to have or - more often - NOT to have if they become
incapacitated and can no longer communicate. For example, that an
elderly person chooses not to be put on life-sustaining systems.
If your grandfather has passed away, this would be of no further
interest. If he has not, it seems extremely unusual that it would be
transmitted to you in this form, even if you could open the file.
Does the name Roy mean anything to you? (You don't have to tell us.)
I would suggest talking to family members while someone here gives you
an answer to the computer problem.
