I need to find the (approximately) best enterprise antivirus software for a small company. I need to protect about 100 client pc's (windows 2000-xp), and 1 MS-Exchange 2003 server. They also have 3 other file servers, but a server antivirus is not required on these machines. The ideal product will: - have a good central-management console - be as lightweight as possible for the client pc's Obviously it will have no bugs and will catch all viruses :-) |

Hey salutony, I'm currently using Micro Antivirus which also includes a built-in firewall. I have this software installed on my home PC and a few other computers in my office. It installed easily, updates all the time and does the job. Like me you will probably like MicroAntivirus because it's lightweight and fast compared to Norton and McAfee. I found out about MicroAntivirus from a good friend, and I think this is the best anti virus software on the market. There site is: http://www.mavsolutions.com |

I like Norton's Corporate product because of the excelent central management console. But like mentioned above it is a "heavier" client. I run a product from Eset called NOD32. It is lightweight, and beats all competition in virus catching tests. It does have centralized management options in the corporate edition, but I've now used the magement portion before. It is a very good product and worth taking a look at. You can download a trial client at: http://nod32.com/download/trial.htm |
