Hi,
I'm interested in obtaining a list of US based employers (companies)
who are self funded for health insurance with more than 1000
employees. This list should pls include [Company Name, Address,
business type or SIC code, wed-site, phone/email, and number of
employees.

Additionally required, please, is regional population demographic data
for these employers (e.g. avg age of employees, income levels, and
health statistics for the State or residence of the employee (e.g. TX
- 35% Cardiovascular disease. These data will likely be on separare
lists but if combinable on an excel document my year would be
made...:-)

Many Thanks!

stick2it-ga,

Love that name!

If I may make a suggestion, this question might be better served if you:

1. Divide it up into two separate questions -- get the employer list
first, then ask for whatever demographics you need.

2. Let us know how many employers you are expecting to have on your
list. It may involve quite a different level of effort to find 5
companies than it would to get you 500 (if there are that many!). It
helps us to know what your expectations are.

Just my 2 cents...

Hello stick2it-ga,

I've also done some preliminary research and discovered that a very
large percentage of US companies are self funded. This makes me wonder
if you're looking for a database of companies instead of researcher
compiled lists. I also agree with pafalafa-ga that you would have
much better luck in getting an answer if you posted the demographic
question separately.

There are now some 100 million American lives that are covered by
self-insured employers, says Taylor, who's quick to add that hard
numbers in this field are always difficult to come by.

Of companies with more than 500 employees, he adds, a majority
self-insure. Pass the 1,000-worker mark, he says, and that figure
rises to about 85 percent. And the companies' employee base includes a
big mix of populations that skew both young and old.

I look forward to your clarification.

pafalafa & chz,

Great suggestions. Let's split the original request as such:
1. A list of self-funded employers (healthcare) with >10,000
employees. Not sure of how many companies fit this criteria but would
estimate (from current research) there may be ~1,0000. If so, I'd
increase the employer number to employees >X (15k? 20k)to reduce the
results list to 500 self-funded employers. Yes. I'm looking for a
database of companies.

2. If I understand you both, you're suggesting the demographic
question be posted as a separate request? Correct? I combined the
request because healthcare population demographic data will be
required based on where the above X number of employers are located.
Likely, there are overlaps in States (e.g. 20-50 companies may be in
the NE or SE region). Don't know if the health demographic data is
available by region or if it's easier obtained State by State... likly
the later.

Thx.

I need the same list. List of companies that are silf-funded for
health insurance. It does not matter the size of the company in my
case.
Please let me know the cost for this list.
