Hello seagster, I believe this page, found in the official site's main menu, is a good explanation of the Scottish Premier League draw: "Premierleague Split Format - Explained" (27 Feb 2002) Bank of Scotland Premierleague http://www.scotprem.com/Article.asp?ARTICLE=83286 Please let me know if this answer isn't satisfactory, in which case I can do follow-up research. - justaskscott Search strategy -- Searched on Google for: scottish premier league Browsed official site | |

There is no seeding in league football. The position that they finish is awarded a money prize at the end of the season. so if a team in the top half finishes on less points than a team in the botom half the will still be awarded the prize money for the 6th place team. The reason for the split is to ensure an exciting relegation and league winning battle. |
