I need the names (better the music itself) of "Goodbye" songs. Think
"So long, farewell, aufvidersen (sic), goodnight" from "The Sound of
Music," or Ray Charles' "Hit the Road Jack" for music to play to
signal speakers to wrap up. $20 for a list of 20 songs; $50 if the
list includes the actual music (just the ~ 10 second "good bye"
phrases).

Hi!

When you say music, do you mean the lyrics or the audio sample of the music itself?

Thanks!

Based on my own knowledge of classic American pop music, I could
provide you with a list of 20 (or more) appropriate songs, ranging
from the obvious ("Goodnight, Irene") to the (hopefully) humorous
("How Can I Miss You When You Won't Go Away").

Although it would take some time, I could provide links to audio
samples of recordings of all or almost all of the songs from CD
retailers' websites, but I don't think that downloadable versions will
be available, except for a few that are possibly for purchase on
iTunes or equivalent websites. (I personally have not graduated to an
iPod yet, although it's on my birthday list.)

Two questions for you. First, would all the tunes need to be
instantly recognizable to the average person, or would unfamilar songs
(like my second example above) do if the lyrics are clearly apt?
Second, would the extra work of finding you audio samples and CDs
containing each song justify the extra compensation, or are you only
looking for downloadable versions?

To earn $50 answering this question, I actually need the first 5-10 of
the music itself that contains the "good-bye" word (e.g., farewell,
adieu, see you around, hit the road, goodnight, au revoir, bon voyage,
etc.), so I can use them as an audio signal for speakers to wrap up.
The songs themselves do not need to be recognizable - just that
they're all "good-bye" oriented. Thank you!

I just raised my "reward" to $100 from $50 for the first ~ 10 seconds
of these 20 "goodbye" songs that actually include the "goodbye"
phrase. I need them by Monday, 5/16 @ 9 am. Thanks!

I don't expect to be able to come with the downloadable audio that you
need. I hope another researcher can help you.
