rainbow--Thanks for the tutorials--however I have already read
them----what I want to do is take one of two hardrives--that I have on
my computer and dedicate --so that I only download my LP'Sto it---then
later put on to CD'S---in other words the only thing I want on the
HD----is music and any software I use for editing --the tutorials
don't covers this--thanks for your help

Hi dan...

I'm not sure I understand your uncertainty. If the second
drive is already installed, as you've said, it's just a
matter of emptying it of any other content and then using
program dialogs to install the programs you want to use
onto that drive, as well as using program dialogs of the
installed software to save the products of the conversions
to that hard drive.

When you install most programs, these days, they will offer
to install the program, by default, in the standard location:
C:\Program Files\Program name

However, the same window that informs you of this offers you
the option of installing to another location. The easiest
way to do this is to simply edit the location given to that
of your other hard drive, be it D or E or F:
D:\Program name

Or, if you want to organize even further:
D:\Conversion software\Program name

Or, just:
D:\Software\Program name

Once the conversion software is installed and you are
using it to make .wav files or .mp3 files, the programs
themselves will offer similar dialog boxes which allow
you to save the files on your D drive, in any kind of
folder structure you care to create.
