Amitji, Anyone can appreciate that you want to save as much money as possible before starting such a great trip, but as you see elsewhere in questions and under FAQs, you are asking for a lot more information than a price of $2 justifies, especially when one considers that it is all information that has to be searched for. A couple of points: Sept 5 to Dec 5 is only three months, which affects the no. of days you are mentioning for stays: 10 days in Atlanta and 75 in India, plus... Sightseeing places in Eastern Canada is pretty vague, especially considering as you may have to adjust your distribution of time available. Do you want to travel around in India? I would think that you as an Indian or family or friends there could best look into what accomodations you want, expecially as prices and what is offered can very so much. I would expect that your basic route would start in LA or SF, going on to Vegas (Grand Canyon?) and then on to SF or LA, respectively. Travel bureaus offer standard tours for this (at least from Europe including the round trip flight), maybe two weeks with arranged sightseeing. Then Atlanta, Orlando (include in the 10 days in Atlanta?), Washington, New York. The rest is obvious. Looking back at your questions: Flights: Since there are so many open points, maybe it would be an idea to post a clarification or a new question asking for links to airtraffic sites that would allow you to find flights and prices when you have your dates outlined, maybe asking for hints about using the sites, and whatever else relates to this. That would be more than $2 question. Accomodations: a similar question on this subject. Sorry if it sounds like I am criticising your question, but someone had to point out the error on days available and then one thought led to another - helpful ones, I hope. :-) Myoarin (just a commenter) PS: Maybe someone else will have other and better suggestions about how to frame questions that will be most helpful to you. |

Bichinho, But that is what travel bureaus are for, to help the people who need more than just a package tour or simple flight - which we can order via internet. Amitji, Bichinho has raised a good point, however, you will probably use a travel bureau for at least part of your planning. When you get your itinerary planned, you might talk with several in the hope of finding someone who really shows interest in trying to help you. |

Amitji, Before, I missed your clarification as I scrolled down to see the new comment. Yes, I would like to help you, but I am an not a Researcher with special skills on using the web, hence my suggestion that you direct your question(s) towards that. As an American who is now only a tourist in the States, I will limit my comment to personal suggestions about what I would do if I were following your itinerary. I am not counting days or considering what your budget allows. As mentioned already, you might want to book a tour that took you from LA to Vegas and on the SF, showing you the sights, maybe with a night at Grand Canyon and better scenery between SF and Vegas than the fastest route lets you see. Or you could rent a car and do it on your own, in which case I would spend and extra day and drive up or down the coast between LA and SF. The following link to mapquest.com may not work if you paste it. This is a great site, as it allows you to enter starting point and destination and gives provides a detailed route plan with miles and times plus a map. This link is for LA to Vegas, the next for Atlanta to Orlando, the third for NYC to Buffalo. http://www.mapquest.com/directions/main.adp?mo=ma&2si=gaz&un=m&go=1&1c=Los%20Angeles&1g=3nkZedLN4JOwTPpaJ8s0aw%3d%3d&2tabval=address&1l=8nImm4KrXJU%3d&2c=Las%20Vegas&1rc=A5XAX&1n=Los%20Angeles&cl=EN&2g=9TOj1N5Qt8EIx%2bPNqpNKZw%3d%3d&1s=CA&2l=nFmezGA6%2bmc%3d&ct=NA&1v=CITY&2n=Clark&1y=US&1tabval=address&1si=gaz&2s=NV&2rc=A5XAX&2v=CITY&did=1116239541&2y=US&rsres=1&ovi=0 http://www.mapquest.com/directions/main.adp?go=1&do=nw&rmm=1&1gi=0&un=m&1da=-1.000000&1rc=A5XAX&1n=Los+Angeles&cl=EN&ct=NA&1si=gaz&rsres=1&1ahXX=&1y=US&1a=&1c=new+york&1s=ny&1z=&2ahXX=&2y=US&2a=&2c=Buffalo&2s=ny&2z= http://www.mapquest.com/directions/main.adp?go=1&do=nw&rmm=1&un=m&cl=EN&ct=NA&rsres=1&1ahXX=&1y=US&1a=&1c=atlanta&1s=ga&1z=&2ahXX=&2y=US&2a=&2c=orlando&2s=fl&2z= There are also long distance bus services (not just this link): http://www.ivymedia.com/bus/losangeles_sanfrancisco/ and for backpackers: http://www.adventurehostel.com/backpackerbus/ which reminds me that in New Zealand there are probably good sources for travel planning for budget travellers. Here is a 3 day bus tour that is interesting, and also reminds me that to visit Yosemite National Park and Hearst Castle (included in this tour), one has to book ahead. http://www.ivymedia.com/bravotravel/tours/sanfrancisco.html I also found an 8 day bus tour on a German site: LA, Vegas, SF, for a price of Euro 649/person (hotels, meals, etc. included). I was suggesting returning to your starting point in California by the coast road, for the scenery. But it could be that it is convenient and cheaper to book your flight continuing from there (But that is just a big Maybe!) From NY to Buffalo, there are also buses, or you could rent a car and have your friends pick you up there. Mid October is a lovely time of the year in the area north of NYC when the autumn colours of the turning leaves are usually at their best. You can tell, I want you to see some of the countryside. :-) But on the other hand, it may turn out that and around the world flight with one airline has real advantages: flying to Atlanta, and then to NY, Toronto and on, whereby maybe Atlanta - Orlando - NY is also possible, and if Toronto could not be included, you could return to NY. But this is all speculation, maybe helpful or not. I hope it is, and hope that the links will lead you to try to find further information. Regards, Myoarin |

Amitji, It's my pleasure. Sounds great! Glad to have been of help. Now you have the basis for a more specific question about flights, and that is a research task that I am not up to, but someone should be able to help you. Good luck! Myoarin |

You could visit Niagara Falls and Toronto in one shot. There are few day tours <a href="http://etours.to/alltours.html>from Toronto</a>. You don't even have to sleep over in Toronto. Some tours pick-up directly from Toronto Pearson International Airport (yyz). Here are a few sites that offer tours to Niagara Falls from Toronto: http://etours.to/index.html http://www.niagaratours.ca/index.html http://kingtours.ca/index.html http://torontotours.ca/index.html |
