Hi steve4212 I think you'll find that the answer to your question is that there are: 64 squares on a chessboard. Solution strategy: The answer "just came to me", but to verify I did a Google search for "64 S on a C": ://www.google.co.uk/search?q=%2264%20=%20S%20on%20a%20C%22 and one of the links returned pointed me to: http://www.blakjak.demon.co.uk/prb_num2.htm where solution number 23 verifies this (it actually gives the solution as Squares on a Checkerboard).
