Hi, Randy! It's good to hear from you again. The 1959 movie "The Hanging Tree" was based upon a wonderful novella written by the Montana author Dorothy Marie Johnson. Three of Dorothy Johnson's western tales were made into famous films: "The Hanging Tree," "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance," and "A Man Called Horse." "The Hanging Tree" can be bought new, at a reasonable price: Amazon.com: The Hanging Tree http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/0803275846 Buy.com: The Hanging Tree http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=30156997 Overstock.com: The Hanging Tree http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2.cgi?PAGE=PRODUCT&PROD_ID=1296341&cid=52191&fp=F If you'd rather have a pre-owned book, the link below will take you to four pages of listings which will enable you to purchase a used copy of "The Hanging Tree." Some of these are expensive collectors' items, and some are inexpensive paperbacks, so you'll have a very wide field from which to choose: Addall Rare, Used and Out of Print Book Search http://used.addall.com/SuperRare/submitRare.cgi?author=dorothy+johnson&title=the+hanging+tree&keyword=&isbn=&order=TITLE&ordering=ASC&dispCurr=USD&binding=Any+Binding&min=&max=&timeout=20&match=Y&StoreAbebooks=on&StoreAlibris=on&StoreAntiqbook=on&StoreBiblio=on&StoreBibliology=on&StoreBiblion=on&StoreBibliophile=on&StoreBibliopoly=on&StoreBooksandcollectibles=on&StoreChoosebooks=on&StoreHalf=on&St oreILAB=on&StoreMaremagnum=on&StorePowells=on&StoreStrandbooks=on&StoreZVAB=on I hope this helps! It's great to be able to provide information related to one of my favorite western movies ever. Best regards, pinkfreud | |
