first i am not a programmer, but i have an idea for a programme and i would like to know who to talk to, to find the programmer for me (i realise that different types of programms require different PROGRAMMERS)the type of programme i would like written is a cross between a game and scoreboard?? confused ?? its a program for the game of darts, to keep score for oneself and to play against an imaginary opponent, my question is how do i go about finding somebody qualified, able and willing to do this project? also a small add on question can a program be ran on a computer and displayed on the screen in portrait mode rather than the wide landscape mode(screen would have to be rotated 90") thanks |

There are various sites on the internet that allow you to add such projects where software developers bid on how much they can complete your project for. Some good ones include http://www.smeoutsource.com/browse.php?id=76&closed=0 http://rfq.programmingbids.com/ But my favourite has to be http://www.rentacoder.com You can specify the time of completion What you are prepared to pay. You can browse developers past projects and more. You will need to create an account with each of the above sites. The good thing about using these sites is developers are in need of work and will compete against each other in order to win your work, this then reduces project overheads for you. I hope this has helped Good luck with the project |

Hello, I too highly recommend rent-a-coder but have one suggestion: find a Macromedia Flash developer. It is the best format for your game, being supported by 98.3% of computers worldwide. Tilting a game and a monitor would be very difficult as the player would have to move the mouse sideways for the pointer to move up and down and vice versa. Sam |

I strongly recommend against rentacoder. |
