Hi Goomba_Girl, In workbook A, where you have the 15 contiguous cells containing the information, select the range by highlighting it. Goto "Edit" on the Menu Bar and select "Copy". Now, switch to workbook B. Select the first cell of the range (or the entire range of equal size to that in workbook A) and right click. Select "Paste Special", within the Paste Special window, make sure that "All" is selected under the "Paste" option and "None" is selected under the "Operation" option. Then, select the "Paste Link" button. That should paste a link from all selected cells in workbook A to the new range in workbook B. Also, watch out when relocating the workbooks, the path to the cells is relative to it's current location. If you move workbook A, workbook B's cell links will need to be updated. I hope this works for you, please let me know if you have questions. Love2HelpWhenICan P.S. - Google needs to start accepting additional researcher applications!?!? |

The original question is not quite clear to me. There are various ways to link between worksheets or even from Excel file to a another Excel file. Is this to just replicate a worksheet to another worksheet? There are also Excel functions like VLOOKUP, RIGHT, LEFT, etc. If you are in worksheet named 'Worksheet_A' and you wanna read that's in your 'Workbook_B', you can use =('Worksheet_B'!A1) to read what is in cell A1. Why don't you try posting the same question at http://www.excelforum.com? |
