Question ID: 522365
How important is the accuracy of the address and employment history on
a credit report? If they are incomplete or inaccurate or simply
outdated should I be filing a dispute with the credit agency? Does
this effect the way my credit report is reviewed? I can't find an
answer to this question on their web pages.

Hello mary764-GA

I contacted http://www.creditinform.com about your question and got your answer.

"I understand you are inquiring about how important is the
accuracy of the address and employment history on a credit report.

It does not affect your credit in any way. However, if you apply for a
job that checks your credit history and they see several addresses and
employers, they may suspect that you move around a lot."
Therefore, it's better to update and have the correct address and employer on file.

Next, if there are incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated information,
should you be filing a dispute with the credit agency."

You should file a dispute with whom reported that information to get
it corrected as soon as possible.

If this answer requires further explanation, please request
clarification before rating it, and I'll be happy to look into this
further.
