I'm interested in finding sensory deprivation tanks for use by the
public (namely a friend and myself), not as part of a study or
research or whatnot. But I can't seem to find any near where I live
(Worcester, MA) at all. I think the closest one I found was in PA.
I've googled myself out trying to find one, and any help would be
wonderful.

Not sure how clear I made this in my question. But it's important
that both of us would be able to do it at the same time. So ideally
the facility would have to have two tanks. But that can be balanced
with distance. If it's farther but has two tanks, it's worth it.

Pinkfreud mentioned two locations, including the Crystalline Matrix
near Worcester. The information I've seen indicates that both have
one tank.

There's a third location, which like the Crystalline Matrix is close
to Worcester. It likewise appears to have one tank.

There is also one location in southern New Hampshire, about an hour
and fifteen minute drive from Worcester (according to Google Maps),
which has multiple tanks.

Would the two locations near Worcester, or the location in southern
New Hampshire, be a sufficient answer?

The New Hampshire one would be an adequate answer. An hour and
fifteen isn't that far. Do you have the name or any information about
the place?

Hello ivyelmire,

The New Hampshire location is PRANA Floatation Center, located in Manchester.

PRANA Floatation Center
http://www.pranafloat.com/

According to its home page, PRANA has "five private float rooms." The
blog associated with the site stated on April 3 that it was "currently
running 3 PRANA tanks." Whether it's now three or five, that should
be sufficient. (The blog also provides links to three locations in
Massachusetts with floatation tanks: the two mentioned by pinkfreud
and Clear SelfCare in Milford.)

"The Crystalline Matrix," in Auburn, Masssachusetts, has a floatation
tank. You might contact them to see whether they have more than one.

Another option is Paradise Spa in Northampton, Massachusetts:
