I have a Scienmtific Atlanta DVR cable box, model "Explorer 8000 HD".
The frame advance feature, as well as the DVI out, is not "supported"
by the
local cable company, Time Warner in NYC. Can anyone advise how to
enable these features? Sci Atl says they are testing the programming
for the DVI and hope to release it in June, but I can't find any
reference on the frame advance. The booklet T Warner put out shows it and
has directions on how to use it, but it just goes to fast forward.

Google: please don't ban this question. This is not trying to steal
programming. I pay over $90 a month for programming, and it is all
legal. This is trying to enable a feature that is in the box already.
