I have a pill for epilepsy that I need to get tested for its contents. I did not get this pill from a pharmacy rather got it from an Ayurvedic doctor who does not disclose contents. But I strongly believe it is an allopathic medicine. I reside in Virginia, US. What is the best way for me to know the pill's contents? Are there vendors that will do it? Thanks. | |

1. If the drug came in a *legal* packaging, the active ingrediant should be listed under the commercial drug name. The FDA requires the active ingredient and its concentration (in either v/w or w/w) to be listed on the packaging and/or the tablet casing. 2. If the drugs did not come in such a packaging, I'd suggest you stop taking them immediately :) 3. About the doctor not revealing the contents, I believe even in allopathic medicine, it is illegal for the doctor to withhold that information. 4. In terms of testing, most research laboratories will do the testing for you, you'll need to request something called a Gas Chromatography test on the pill or a HPLC test. :) |

In answer to the physical description of the Pill - It is a pink round tablet. It has no letters or numbers but a flower shape imprint on it. |
