Depends on your budget. For an over the top experience, overlooking Barcelona, there's Hotel La Florida, which is part of the Stein Group. For a creative experience this hotel is fantastic because each suite and common area was decorated by a different (and renowned) interior designer. This is a five star hotel. The web page is www.hotellaflorida.com For something smaller, less expensive and more centrally located there is the Hotel Prestige Paseo de Gracia. It's new and it's elegant and avant gard. Everything about it is five star but because it has no restaurant, it is a four star. However, you're right smack in the center so you don't really need one so it's a great deal for the money. www.prestigepaseodegracia.com The third hotel is much smaller (42 rooms I think) and it's an old renovated palace in the old town. It's elegant, and has a lot of charm and history. It's called Hotel Neri, and the web page is www.hotelneri.com. I'm actually not sure if they have conference facilities, but if they don't they would probably organise something cool for you. I hope this helps you. I live here in Barcelona and I've organised a lot of event for the company I used to work for, so I'm very familiar with these three hotels. check out their web pages and their prices and let me know if I can be of additional help. |

Thanks for these suggestions! I looked at all three, but I think the place I'm leaning towards is the Casa Camper. It's actually a lot like the venue I used last year for this same conference. Have you ever seen Casa Camper's meeting room? My friend who lives in Barcelona's out of town this month, and so I don't currently have anyone in town who can look at this space for me. I need to fit about 35 people in the room--Casa Camper of course says that the room is big enough, but I'm a little wary. I know this might be a weird question, but if you could go by there and take some photos of the meeting space, I would be terribly grateful. I'd certainly consider my Question answered and pay you the $7.50. Not much, but maybe the cost of a drink at their bar. :-) |
