How did google answer exist without me knowing about it? hail google. So I've had this idea for an action figure I would like to develop and finaly got my nerve up to actualy doing something about it. It most likely be typical injection molding. Actualy it was difficult to find any resources for the step by step process of development to understand the business and terminology. Just found out about the required steel tooling which sent me back to the negotiation table with the manufacturers I'm trying to obtain quotes from. The research has been tedious and the conclucsion I've came up with is to find a chinese manufacturer that has offices in US to leverage the communication with respect to the cost savings of outsourcing to china. I did decide to keep the prototyping here (and found a guy to do it for me) so I can have close supervision on the details. But paging through rows of manufacturers I dont know who I can trust? And in fact if that is the best option? There is a small toy company here that would produce the product for me taking care of evereything, including shipping but they are charging me an arm and a leg for the production and dont have flexible pricing based on quantity. My product would be very identical to what they produce and would've like to know who their manufacturer in china is but no luck in research. I've read some great advice on ga. am I heading in the right direction? any reputable, emphasis on reputable, chinese companies that have leveraged the communication with respect to production costs for their customers? |
