I would like to understand how wireless and Wimax works. I am
particularly interested in finding out what kind of equipment, costs
are involved for a municipality to set up a wireless service for its
citizens. I know there are kiosks and restaurants and such. Is that
the same kind of technology when you are talking a larger area?

I would like non-technical or basic technical explanations please.

Thanks
very much.

Hi!

I was able to find articles that discusses Wimax and wireless
technology in an easy to understand manner. However, I wasn't able to
find a cost for a particular municipality but just an investment
figure covering a number of cities. This is a ballpark figure.

Will this be ok as anaswer?

Thanks!

If you could search a little more it would be great. For example,
czh-ga gave me a list of municipalities doing wireless, could you tell
me how much it cost some of these municipalities? Ballpark is not as
good as some sample figures for these municipalities.
