canajun-ga,

I have reviewed human resource businesses from San Francisco across to
New York City and Jersey to see exactly what these firms are calling
themselves.
It'll give you an idea of how the many companies are naming themselves
all over the USA which should be similar to Canada. For such a search,
I went to www.yahoo.com's yellow pages and changed locations while
using the same search term of "human resources consulting".

They don't seem to get very specific about the areas of HR in which
they specialize. Arbitration and mediation are growth industries as
they are much more cost effective than litigation. It would seem that
your name should include this specialty, and when you advertise, you
should be sure to be listed under Mediation/Arbitration Services as
well as General HR.

You might choose between Mediation and Arbitration rather than use
both words as they seem to be closely related fields and would appear
to be so to the general public.Perhaps something similar to the Health
& Human Resource Ctr listed below where you can be "Human Resource &
Arbitration Center". You would want to emphasize your primary
strength, whether it be general HR or Arbitration.

You'll notice that there is nothing striking about the business names
listed. Perhaps that is intended to make them appear conservative
rather than flashy.
And some prefer to use their names as part of the business name. This
can be useful as the business reputation lies with you name. Whenever
"Canajun Mediation & HR Center" does a great job for a client, the
word circulating in the business community will be "Canajun" is a
superior mediator. They won't be mentioning the whole business name.
As JP Morgan said, "finance is not about money, it's about character".
As your business reputation rises in the community, your business
will be known as simply Canajun's which can be the valuable brand for
HR services.

You don't want a long name, but you want it identified with you;
perhaps, "Canajun HR and Mediation Center". For some reason, I like
the word center and didn't see it used very often across the country.

"It's About Time Consulting" might be an eye-catcher, but it seems to
be too humorous for this serious business.
"World Class HR Consulting" seems to present a flavor of exaggeration.

I hope this helps give you ideas, and I'd be happy to get you a very
large list if it is useful to you. The sampling below excludes
repetitive company names that were encountered. The cities viewed
included San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Dallas and the outlying
areas of those large cities.

Brad-ga
