I am trying to write an advertisement. I am therefore
looking for advice. I tired to post an ad in a
different group like this one:

http://careers.uk.freeads.net/I_am_looking_to_meet-59035.htm

My question is do you think the ad is appropriate as
it has not been very successful?

You advice would be much appreciated?

Kind Regards

Are you looking to hire researchers, or hoping to be hired? I'm
afraid I'm not entirely clear from your ad what the case is.

Also, "researchers" is a rather broad term...is there anything more
specific that you can say to let people know what you have in mind?

In my opinion, the ad is too general. You ask to "meet" researchers,
but give no indication why. The impression I get is that it's not for
business reasons.

My advice: Be a bit more specific. Are you looking for researchers for
business reasons? If so, give some idea what sort of venture you're
talking about. What trade or subject matter will the researching deal
with. And, if the pay arrangements are generous, say so.

Good luck!

I'm with kriswrite. The ad is way too vague. It doesn't sound serious
- it sounds more like something that would only end up being a hassle
to reply to. (You know, like some multi-level marketing scheme or
somesuch.)

OK,

I understand. The ad is seeking to employ researchers for there time
for a new business. Does it not convey this?

No, pietch-ga, it really is not conveying that message at all. You ask
to "meet" researchers. To me it sounded as if you were wanting to date
a researcher!

If you want an intelligent, focused researcher to respond, you need to:
a) be specific.
"I am looking to employ a focused, intelligent online researcher to
work from home??, who has experience or expertise in the area/s of ???

b) tell them how or what they will be paid. e.g. Remuneration will be
based on an hourly rate (page rate, report rate or however you intend
to pay them) and is a (short term/casual/contract/permanent part-time/
or whatever) position.

c) and why are you asking for advice from people who aren't
interested? It sounds very unprofessional and that would put off most
intelligent focused people completely! They aren't very likely to give
you free advice if they can't be bothered applying for the paid role.

And what sort of advice are you wanting? What direction are you hoping
to be pointed in? You need to give some clues. It sounds as if you are
holding a lot of information back and that raises suspicions. Someone
who is looking for legitimate employment does not want to turn up fo
work and be greeted with any unpleasant surprises. Employment should
mean payment, fair reward for effort. You don't have to give out all
the details, just give your prospects the info they need to realise
that this might be an employment opportunity for *them*.
