I like the "favorites" feature of Windows. I use xp. I thought it was designed to put all of recently used web visits in favorites. Or is it, that if I register a site in my favorites list, I visit it, then it will appear in my RECENT favorites list? Do I need to do something different, is that life or what's up? Thanks. Internet Explorer has history of web pages visited. It can be accessed by clicking the on the "View" menu at the top of your screen, then select "Explorer bar" and then "History" (or just press "Ctrl-H") It shows where you have been on the web. There are some settings having to do with the history under "tools" - "internet option". |

You're describing the function of the History as gregaw-ga pointed out. In the history, there's a way to sort "by order visited." Favorite are links you have selected to save so you don't have to find them again. |

I realize that I stated my question unclearly. What I really what to know is how to recently visited sites into my Favorites-- actually my "recently favorites" When I click on Start and then Favorites, I am shown my list of "recently visited sites." however, in my case, that list does not keep growing. What Can I do? |

You have to add websites to the Favorites list manually by right-clicking on an empty section of the page and selecting "Add to Favorites." Favorites are not automatically created, you have to add them and make the list. You can also organize them into folders. If you want Windows to show you what sites you have been to recently, and be able to click on them to go back, you are talking about the History, not Favorites. To view a list of web sites in the order you saw them --most recent on top, click the History button, then "VIEW" and select "By Order Visited Today." |
